Description

Financial training in various aspects of banking for affluent individuals and small and medium sized businesses. Student Interns will have the opportunity to not only learn and contribute to the bank within a specific department, but also to gain understanding about the bank's various business activities through hands on training, workshops, and meetings with the bank's various senior managers.


Because there are a number of different departments with the bank and the internship opportunities vary each year, there is no standard job description. Internship opportunities are focused on the student's interest and available projects.


Examples of work done by prior interns include inputting customer financial information onto an excel spreadsheet and then analyzing the information in regards to a loan decision, evaluating the compensation information from proxy statements of various banks in order to determine comparable compensation for the Bank's executive management and board of directors, and working with the Bank's Relationship Managers to identify prospective new customers that are in the Bank's target market.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Junior standing with coursework in economics, finance, accounting or course work related to the targeted internship opportunity with an overall GPA of at least 3.5.
