Industry: Advanced Manufacturing / Industrial Automation

Our client, a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing company, is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support the maintenance, reliability, and performance of critical production equipment within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving instrumentation and automation systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation systems including sensors, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, and controllers
  • Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs, ladder logic, and SCADA/HMI systems
  • Perform electromechanical maintenance on motors, wiring, relays, switches, and related equipment
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation drawings
  • Utilize CMMS software to document maintenance activities, work orders, labor hours, and parts usage
  • Perform calibration and diagnostic testing using multimeters, loop calibrators, and other testing equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on automation upgrades, commissioning activities, and root cause investigations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and support compliance with operational and safety standards
  • Participate in planned outages, maintenance shutdowns, and equipment commissioning activities

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC, SCADA, and industrial control systems
  • Experience calibrating and maintaining industrial instrumentation and process control equipment
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and documentation (SAP experience preferred)
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing, industrial, or process-driven environment
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call schedules as needed
