Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Safely handle raw material bulk products, raw materials from railcars, maintain supply of tank farm materials, and transport drums and totes by forklift. Perform routine and operator level preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment or surroundings as required. Work well within a team atmosphere.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Chemical Manufacturing environment inside and outside of metal buildings. Employee will work in temperature extremes and in a chemical-odors environment. Depending on exact position employee may need to: Operate a forklift, tip and move 55 gallon drums weighing up to 600 pounds with a drum dolly, lift and carry 100 pounds in various packaging lift and/or handle empty 55 gallon drums.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.
- Have the ability to fluently read, write, and speak in English.
- Adhere to guidelines, policies and procedures as described in the Jacam handbook.
- Adhere to Jacam's Drug and Alcohol policy and agrees to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment.
- Cooperate with fellow employees towards completing common goals.
- Be able to follow written and verbal instruction.
- Proficient with required Safety & Hazmat policies, procedures and reporting.
- Maintain, inspect and clean equipment and facilities as required per S.O.P.
- Sample, test and log results of materials and products, as required, to ensure quality and control of product.
- Be precise, detail-oriented, and organized while processing multiple activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Build communal relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful and credible in the workplace.
- Be highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
- Take pride and ownership in ones work.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Efficiently navigate the internet, use a mouse. Read and compose email.
- Safety Skills: Strictly adhere to safety requirements required of the position. Report unsafe activity, suggest safety improvements.
- Other Requirements: Own a valid driver's license. Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
