Central Plains Steel, a division of Feralloy, is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate press brake equipment and produce precision metal parts while supporting overall plant operations.
Physical Requirements

Function in the Job
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function
  • Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts to specifications
  • Read blueprints, work orders, and instructions to ensure accuracy
  • Set up materials, tooling, and machine settings
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Perform in-process and final quality checks
  • Make adjustments and troubleshoot minor machine issues
  • Move materials using forklifts or cranes and assist with general shop duties
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Required Skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience (press brake or manufacturing preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay: $17-$20/hr (DOE)
Preferred:
  • Press brake or metal fabrication experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
