Job description

Material Handler

Nazdar has an open position in the production department for a Material Handler. This position will provide support by assisting with material handling in the plant.

Material Handler – Hours for position: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday $20/hr.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Relocate products as directed by the Supervisor by physically moving the products.
  • Modify storage racks and locations as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Proactively identify items in wrong locations and return them to correct locations.
  • Assist with the pulling of products for future batches from areas such as; raw material storage, partials, q-stock, quarantine, or rework.
  • Re-stock any products to locations such as; partials, q-stock, quarantine, or rework.
  • Assist with returning materials to batch storage locations that require a forklift or other means of lifting.
  • Assist with stock rotation.
  • Notifies the Stocker of any replenishment of stock that needs to be done.
  • Assist with the cleaning of areas outside the general batch area; pigment racks, drum racks, and back aisles.
  • Assist with the distribution of empty drums to the proper location.
  • Assist with disposal of trash and waste.
  • Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
