Job description
Reports to the Director/Manager in the BMG Administration Department. Serves as the Supervisor for Clinical Education & Regulatory Compliance for clinical staff across Beacon Medical Group, Indiana & Michigan. Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical training programs and ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Oversees training for RN/LPN/CMA/RMA/CCMA/CCA and other clinical roles, conducts train-the-trainer sessions, and serves as a subject matter expert in clinical education and healthcare regulatory compliance. Supports readiness and adherence to standards set by The Joint Commission, Rural Health Clinic (RHC), CLIA, and other regulatory bodies. Provides strategic oversight and leadership for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Medical Assistant Internship (MAI) program across the medical groups, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and optimal program performance.

Clinical Education & Training
- Leads the design, coordination, and delivery of clinical training programs for RN/LPN/CMA/RMA/CCMA/CCA and other clinical roles.
- Conducts needs assessments to identify educational gaps and develops targeted training plans.
- Facilitates train-the-trainer sessions to empower lead clinical staff to validate competencies at their respective sites.
- Develops and maintains instructional materials, lesson plans, and evaluation tools aligned with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Serves as a resource and mentor to clinical staff and leadership across Medical Groups.
Regulatory Compliance Oversight
- Ensures training programs and clinical practices align with regulatory requirements including but not limited to:
- The Joint Commission
- Rural Health Clinic (RHC) standards
- Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)
- OSHA, CDC, CMS, and other applicable agencies
- Collaborates with compliance and quality teams to prepare for audits, inspections, and surveys.
- Oversees development and updates to policies and procedures to reflect current regulatory guidelines.
- Oversees internal audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness.
- Provides education and updates to staff on changes in regulatory standards and implications for practice.
Provides strategic oversight and leadership for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) program across the health system. Responsibilities include:
- Leads the design, execution, and continuous improvement of NHA-aligned initiatives to support workforce development and credentialing.
- Ensures program adherence to national certification standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Supervises program coordinators and instructors, providing guidance, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborates with clinical leaders, HR, education departments, and external partners to align program goals with system-wide workforce strategies.
- Monitors program metrics, certification pass rates, and participant outcomes to inform decision-making and drive quality improvement.
- Manages program budgets, secures necessary resources, and oversees vendor relationships related to NHA materials and services.
- Prepares reports and presentations for leadership, highlighting program impact, challenges, and strategic opportunities.
Administrative & Professional Development
- Maintains certifications as CPR Instructor, TB Validator, EKG Trainer, and PPE Tester.
- Serves as administrator for training platforms (e.g., NetLearning, Elsevier, etc.) and specialized programs (e.g., DOT Regulated Medical Waste).
- Participates in policy development, community outreach, and special projects.
- Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education, literature review, and professional affiliations.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.
Education and Experience
- Registered Nurse degree for Indiana and Michigan, required.
- Experience in a clinical educator or trainer role preferred.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in healthcare settings preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in clinical procedures, training methodologies, and adult learning principles.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
