Position Summary:

TheField Service Technicianis responsiblefor the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) and related environmental monitoring equipment at client and company facilities. This role ensures monitoring systems operate reliably and in compliance with applicable regulatory standards, and serves as the primary on-site technical point of contact for emissions monitoring equipment and data quality.


This is a remote role responsible for a service area around Ardmore, Oklahoma approximately 90 miles south of Oklahoma City.


Key Responsibilities


Installation & Commissioning

  • Install, configure, and commission emissions monitoring instrumentation at client sites
  • Coordinate installation schedules with clients, site contacts, and internal engineering team


Maintenance, Service & Troubleshooting

  • Maintain and repair monitoring equipment
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions in the field, minimizing system downtime and data loss
  • Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, consumables, and forecasting of equipment needs


Reporting & Communication

  • Communicate equipment status, service needs, and compliance risks clearly to clients, supervisors, and internal engineering/compliance teams
  • Provide clients with basic training and guidance on day-to-day system operation, where appropriate


Safety & Site Conduct

  • Comply with all company, client, and OSHA safety policies, including site-specific safety orientations and permit requirements (e.g., confined space, hot work, working at heights)
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all client and internal safety protocols


Qualifications & Experience

  • 1 - 3+ years of experience with instrumentation, industrial electronics, or emissions/environmental monitoring systems
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, instrumentation, environmental science, or a related field preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, software and electrical aptitude
  • Experience and familiarity with MS Office programs
  • Generalized experience with different software programs and ability to learn new programs an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to client sites, including overnight travel as needed
  • Honesty and transparency in all aspects of the role are critical to success


Personal & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors and in industrial environments in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work with basic hand tools
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment/tools up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client sites, with occasional multi-day trips. Occasional Fly-in and Fly-out work required
  • Technician is responsible for providing their own work truck and valid insurance appropriate for field service demands. Mileage will be reimbursed at the prevailing government-prescribed mileage rate
  • Ability to provide secure and covered storage space for store parts and equipment out of employee's home base - roughly equivalent to 200 square feet. Allowance provided for storage
