Exacta Systems is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering organization. This individual will play a critical role in bridging development and operations, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our central determinant gaming systems.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and enjoys building and optimizing infrastructure that powers real-time gaming applications. The Sr. DevOps Engineer will partner closely with software engineering, QA, and IT operations teams to streamline deployment processes, enhance system monitoring, and improve overall system resilience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborationwithinthe DevOpsTeamto develop tools and administer our products.
  • Develop and enhance build processes and tools.
  • Provide second-to-third-tier customer support,assistingthe operations team with engineering-related issues.
  • Collaboratewith internal and third-party development partners.
  • Configure and deploy modern observability tools forsystem performance, availability, and securitymonitoring.
  • Supportdatabase deployment processes and environment consistency across development, staging, and production
  • Develop andmaintaindocumentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and system architecture
  • Partner with QAand developersto support test environment stability and reliability
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Senior level experience with MongoDB database
  • Senior level knowledge of modern software architecture including inversion of control, test driven development, and SOLID principles
  • Experience with Git andGithub, Gulp, and NPM
  • Experience with cloud deployment environments such as Amazon Web Services
  • Development experience with casino gaming systems is preferred
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, system security, and performance optimization
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Scienceor a related field(or equivalent experience)
  • Senior level experience with web technologies and programming web-based user interfaces (C#, Node.js, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, etc.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support system deployments or operational needs
