Marrakech is seeking a compassionate and reliable Recovery Assistant to provide one-on-one support to individuals with mental health disabilities who have successfully transitioned from nursing facilities into their own homes.

In this rewarding role, you'll help individuals build essential life skills, maintain independence, connect with their communities, and live fulfilling lives. If you're patient, supportive, and enjoy helping others succeed, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll DoSupport Independent Living
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including grocery shopping, meal preparation, household chores, budgeting, and personal routines.
  • Teach and reinforce skills that promote independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Support individuals in achieving goals identified in their recovery plans.
Promote Community Inclusion
  • Encourage participation in community activities and social engagement.
  • Provide transportation to medical appointments, community events, and other activities outlined in recovery plans.
  • Foster safe and meaningful community integration.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete required documentation, including case notes, communication logs, incident reports, safety reports, timesheets, and mileage logs.
  • Follow all agency, DMHAS, and program requirements regarding service delivery and documentation.
Provide Person-Centered Support
  • Follow individualized recovery plans and communicate recommendations to the Community Support Professional (CSP) as needed.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to meeting each individual's unique needs and goals.
  • Support a safe, respectful, and empowering environment.
QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-6 months of related experience, internship experience, or completion of a Human Services training program.
  • Ability to successfully complete the online Recovery Assistant Certification course and all required training.
Certifications & Licenses
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License.
  • Recovery Assistant Certification (DMHAS requirements).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (as required by program site).
  • PMT Certification.

Salary & Schedule
