Job description

Position Summary

Provides supervision, support, and direct care to Behavioral Health clients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. CBR and APH Acute Programs, CBR (Day Hospital), and the daytime IOP. Provide oversight over patient insurance and assist with the authorization and concurrent review process.

Primary Position Responsibilities

1.Provides direct care services, group therapy, individual counseling, initial
assessment

2.Provides clinical supervision to clinical staff

3.Maintains statistics on all clinical functions of department.

4.Document all interactions with clients, family, referral sources, insurance companies

5.Maintains departmental productivity standards.

6.Maintains JCAHO standards and DMHAS specialty regulations, Medicaid Regulations, and HBH policy & procedure.

7.Maintains JCAHO standards and DMHAS specialty regulations, Medicaid Regulations, and HBH policy & procedure.

8.Maintains standards of licensing board.

9.Assures fiscal success of clinical area.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required:

Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling or related field

Preferred:

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Required:

Five years experience in the field of mental health

Preferred:

None


License, Registry or Certification:

Required:

LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist

Preferred:

Supervisory certification from the appropriate licensing board


Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required:

Knowledge of clinical techniques, supervisory skills, basic financial/fiscal information, DSM-5, De-escalation Techniques, Crisis management techniques

Clinician demonstrates knowledge of evidenced based practices in the provision of care included but not limited to: Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Universal Screening for SUD.
