Join the Publix Technology Team DCR team as Disaster & Cyber Recovery Analyst where you will be responsible for ensuring the department is prepared to recover critical IT systems in the event of a disruption affecting system availability. You will be responsible for reviewing and revising disaster and cyber recovery plans, leading recovery efforts, and document recovery processes for critical applications, both on-prem and in public cloud solutions.

Your Impact:
  • Ensure alignment of IT recovery procedures with enterprise disaster recovery (DR) and cyber recovery strategies
  • Lead the review and continuous improvement of recovery plans for critical systems across on-prem, private cloud, and public cloud environments
  • Coordinate and execute disaster and cyber recovery testing, working cross-functionally to validate system resilience and recovery readiness
  • Direct recovery operations during incidents, collaborating with cross-platform teams to restore services efficiently and securely
  • Maintain and update documentation to support Emergency Response Team activities during major events (e.g., natural disasters, cyber incidents)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on disaster recovery and cyber recovery processes, providing guidance across IT and business teams
  • Develop, manage, and scale comprehensive recovery documentation for mission-critical applications and infrastructure
  • Create and deliver executive-level summaries and reporting for recovery exercises, including findings, risks, and improvement actions

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of modern data center architecture
  • Ability to comprehend disaster recovery concepts and develop solutions
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking
  • Ability to work after-hours and overnights on an as-needed basis

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of business systems analysis experience
  • Certification in IT Disaster and Cyber Recovery Planning
  • Knowledge of public and private cloud computing architecture as it relates to disaster and cyber recovery
  • Experience developing, testing, and maintaining disaster and cyber recovery plans for hybrid architecture
  • Knowledge of data center network, server, VSAN, and SAN replication architecture in a modern data center
  • Knowledge of modern backup tools and recovery capabilities
  • Experience developing and delivering training
  • Experience developing structured documents for audiences of varying backgrounds
