Job Summary

MedEx Medical Transport is seeking motivated and adaptable interns to support a variety of functions within our organization. This internship provides hands-on experience in a professional medical transport and disaster response environment. Interns may work in areas such as dispatch operations, administrative support, inventory, logistics coordination, and other projects based on organizational needs and the interns' skill.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical workplace experience, build transferable skills, and contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to patient care and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on placement, interns may:

  • Assist with dispatch operations by supporting communications, call tracking, and scheduling.

  • Provide administrative/billing support including data entry, document preparation, scanning, and filing.

  • Help with inventory management through stock checks, supply organization, and equipment tracking.

  • Support logistics and operations teams during planning and deployment readiness activities.

  • Participate in special projects to improve workflow, efficiency, and compliance.

  • Contribute to process documentation, policy updates, or reporting tasks.

  • Work collaboratively with staff across departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a high school, college, or technical program.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, and data entry).

  • Interest in healthcare, logistics, emergency response, or business operations is a plus, but you do not have to have a related major to intern.
