About the role

Diverse Computing, Inc. is seeking two creative and detail-oriented Junior Marketing Representative Interns to join our team, starting in Fall 2026, and provide administrative support to our Marketing Communications Specialist. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing strategy and content creation within a collaborative environment. While the position is primarily remote, candidates must reside in Tallahassee, FL, for occasional in-person collaboration at our HQ. The interns will gain exposure to a full range of marketing activities—including, social media, email campaigns, copywriting, brand communications, and event preparation—while assisting with the maintenance of content calendars and performance metrics. The ideal candidate would be pursuing a degree in Marketing or Communications and possess strong writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for learning how marketing supports real-world business objectives.

Requirements

As a Marketing Intern, you will:

  • Work with the Marketing Communications Specialist to develop successful marketing strategies to amplify positive word of mouth and generate organic buzz around Diverse Computing, Inc. brand.
  • Conduct competitor research to support campaign planning and positioning.
  • Research relevant events, conferences, and partnership opportunities.
  • Schedule social media posts using approved content and established brand guidelines.
  • Draft engaging captions that align with brand voice and campaign goals.
  • Support community engagement by liking, commenting on, and following relevant accounts.
  • Collect social media analytics and assist with compiling performance reports.
  • Produce social media graphics that align with brand guidelines and campaign goals.
  • Assist in developing and formatting creative assets for seasonal campaigns.
  • Assist in the research and writing of blog content to support broader marketing initiatives.
  • Proofread marketing materials for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Proofread email campaigns and test links to ensure accuracy prior to distribution.
  • Check the DCI website for broken links and report or resolve issues as needed.
  • Assist and support marketing events and conference coordination as needed.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining email marketing lists within Salesforce or other CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
  • Manage list imports and exports to support campaigns and segmentation efforts.
  • Assist with Canva template creation and updates for marketing materials.
  • Assist in designing brand-aligned visual content for seasonal social media posts.
  • Refresh existing designs to reflect updated branding and visual standards.
  • Create and update business cards and other simple marketing assets as needed.
  • Draft content for monthly campaigns and newsletters to further brand awareness.

Qualifications

This job might be for you, if you:

  • Are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Are able to start in the Fall 2026 semester and can work an average of 15-20 hours per week
  • Can commit to a multi-semester internship (at least 2-3 consecutively, including Summer semester)
  • Possess graphic design and content creation skills (Canva or Adobe; preferred, not required)
  • Have experience or education in content writing or researching /creative writing
  • Have social media knowledge
  • Have a desire to pursue a career in marketing
  • Have a creative mindset which allows you to generate fresh ideas, and a drive to execute them
  • Have event and/or conference planning experience (preferred), or an interest in learning
  • Can confidently pass rigorous fingerprint-based state and federal background screenings, as required by the nationwide agencies we work with (mandatory)
  • Do not require sponsorship to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available for this position
