Job description

GuidePoint Security is looking to hire a Marketing Intern to support our Northwest Region. The Marketing Intern will learn and work with our major marketing technologies like SalesForce and Marketo. The ideal candidate will have a curious mind, willingness to learn and excellent attention to detail.

Reside within 20-25 miles from Portland, OR - preferred. Secondary - Boise, ID or Bay Area (CA) to be considered for this role.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the Northwest Marketing Team with day-to-day functions and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Familiarize and begin to develop skills with the following platforms: Salesforce, Marketo, Monday.com, and Canva.
  • Support the maintenance of registration lists, event calendars and provide necessary updates to the regional team.
  • Assist with organizing and executing regional events.
  • Specific activities that our intern will assist with:
    • Submitting campaign buildout tickets 
    • Creating and tracking sponsorship agreements
    • Help with promotional assets

Qualifications

  • Must reside within 20-25 miles from Portland, OR - preferred. Secondary - Boise, ID or Bay Area (CA). 
  • Must be eligible for full-time hire in early 2027. 
  • Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency, preferably in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with CRM databases and Marketing Automation Platforms such as SalesForce and Marketo, preferred.
  • Works well with a team.
  • Organized and self-motivated.
  • A creative thinker who isn't afraid to share new ideas and can bring fresh perspectives to event marketing, social media, and branded experiences.

Internship Details and Expectations

This is a part-time, hybrid paid internship ($20hr) that is offered as part of a GPSU cohort running from August 31 - November 20, 2026. The intern is expected to:

  • Travel up to 25% for local events within the Northwest Region (some events may be hosted in the evening or require weekend travel).
  • Support 25-29hrs/wk, M-F.
  • Have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours.
