Internship Program Details:

Pricing interns work in a team environment to establish and execute optimal price levels for various products and services at Caterpillar. This is accomplished by providing pricing recommendations and a thorough analysis of various business indicators including sales, competitive environment, and product value characteristics. The revenue management internship program provides support before, during and after the internship to ensure that every intern gains the appropriate professional and personal growth necessary to be successful in the corporate environment.

Session Dates:

Summer 2027: 5/17/2027 - 8/06/2027

This is a 40-hour-per-week onsite work assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 12 weeks in the summer.

What You Will Do:

  • Critical team member in organizations that handle all aspects of pricing for Caterpillar Machines, Energy & Transportation (Engines), and Parts & Services.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, marketing, accounting, and supply chain teams to drive value-based pricing strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to advance Caterpillar's digital pricing capabilities,
  • Provide guidance for the execution of dynamic and differentiated pricing strategies.
  • Analysis, interpretation, and communication of a wide variety of data.
  • Execute strategic and tactical price action within a robust pricing governance framework.

Internship Program Qualifications :

  • Must be currently pursuing a degree at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, or another business-related field, at the time of application and throughout the program
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Major GPA & Cumulative GPA).
  • 12 completed semester hours prior to the start of the internship.
  • If a transfer student must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Previous internship and/or relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical, initiative, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership involvement in student associations.
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel.

Additional Details:

  • Locations: Peoria, IL, Mossville, IL and Cary, NC.
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate if necessary for the duration of the internship, and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation.
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel as needed.
  • Housing Stipend and Relocation Assistance (if eligible)

  • 5-day weekly onsite assignment.

Summary Pay Range:

$22.50 - $40.25

Intern Hourly Rate:

An intern's hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of the internship.
