The ideal candidate is organized, solution-focused, comfortable working with construction documentation, and eager to continue growing in commercial construction management. This role will work closely with project managers, senior project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams.

Candidates whose experience is primarily facilities, maintenance, owner-side project coordination, residential, roofing, specialty subcontractor, or administrative project support may not align unless they have direct commercial GC project engineering or APM experience.

Maintain project logs, meeting notes, tracking documents, and project files.

Support communication between the office, field team, subcontractors, suppliers, and design team.

Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.

Help track materials, procurement, deliveries, and project documentation needed to support project schedules.

Monitor project schedules and assist with coordination of trades and subcontractors.

Support quality control, punch list tracking, and project closeout documentation.

Participate in project meetings and assist with meeting minutes, follow-up items, and documentation updates.

Assist superintendents and project managers with field-related tasks as needed.

Help ensure project documentation is accurate, organized, and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:
1 to 3+ years of commercial construction project engineering, field engineering, assistant project management, or related construction management experience.

Experience with a commercial general contractor is strongly preferred.

Solid understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project coordination.

Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, drawings, specifications, project logs, meeting minutes, and closeout documentation.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Ability to coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams.

Strong organizational, communication, follow-up, and documentation skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera is a plus.

OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Relevant internship or co-op experience in commercial construction may be considered.

Equivalent experience may be considered for candidates with strong commercial construction exposure.

Additional Requirements:
Ability to walk active job sites, climb ladders, and work in active construction environments.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to commute to the St. Petersburg, FL area.

Stable work history and strong professional references preferred.
