Lateral Of Counsel/Lateral Shareholder Real Estate Development and Investments

Winstead PC is seeking an experienced real estate attorney to join the Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group in the firmโ€™s Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of sophisticated real estate experience, including experience at a large law firm, and a strong background in real estate joint ventures, borrower-side financing, and general commercial real estate transactions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assume responsibility for an established portfolio of client relationships and matters. This is an opportunity to join a practice with immediate substantive responsibility and significant runway for business development.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Significant experience with real estate joint ventures, borrower-side real estate financings, and general commercial real estate transactions;
  • Experience representing sophisticated developers, investors, owners, sponsors, borrowers, or other real estate clients;
  • Prior experience at a large law firm, either currently or earlier in the attorneyโ€™s career;
  • A demonstrated ability to handle sophisticated matters independently and serve as a trusted advisor to clients;
  • A genuine interest in building and growing client relationships;
  • An entrepreneurial, team-oriented mindset and a desire to take advantage of a platform that provides both substantial client opportunities and the resources necessary to develop them;
  • A preference for working in the Dallas office and being actively engaged with colleagues and clients in person.
