Internship Commercial Glass information

What is an internship in commercial glass?

An Internship in Commercial Glass is a temporary position designed for students or recent graduates interested in learning about the commercial glass industry. Interns typically assist with various tasks such as project estimation, site visits, fabrication processes, and installation support under the guidance of experienced professionals. This hands-on experience helps interns gain valuable industry knowledge, practical skills, and insights into potential career paths in areas like glass manufacturing, installation, or project management. Internships may be offered by glass contractors, manufacturers, or glazing companies, and often serve as a stepping stone to full-time employment in the field.

What do I do during an internship in commercial glass?

As an intern in Commercial Glass, you can expect to assist with a variety of projects such as site assessments, drafting measurements, preparing material orders, and supporting project managers with scheduling and documentation. You may also shadow experienced glaziers and installers on job sites to gain hands-on experience with installation techniques and safety protocols. This internship often involves both office work and field visits, providing a comprehensive understanding of the commercial glass industry, workflow, and collaboration with contractors, architects, and suppliers.
