Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Minneapolis, MN that is seeking a Cloud Data Analyst. This person won't be doing much hands-on work, but knowledge of all MS Azure products, data governance, MS Purview tool would be great to have. Without MS Purview experience, something similar in other cloud platforms may be accepted.
Summary:
As a Senior Cloud Data Analyst with the Data Platform team, you will liaise between Business and Technical teams to define the data standard and data governance rules based on the inputs received from the business and data stewards. You will partner with system of record technical counterparts, business lines, platform owners, upstream and downstream technical counterparts in support of a centralized customer data platform to support Data Analysis and Data governance tasks. You will work very closely with System of records, Business teams, Data Governance teams and Data Architects.
Responsibilities:
* Develops new data governance rules to ensure enterprise data is trusted, connected, accessible, and of the highest quality
* Own the roadmap and manage stakeholder relationships
* Identify data integrity issues and define data quality improvements and establishes metrics for critical data tracking
* Establish data governance policies working with various business teams and data stewards and define product metrics
* Defining data access controls and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
* Enforce data governance/standards utilizing your expertise in Data analysis to ensure data integrity and quality
* Define key metrics to track success or prioritize features
* Collaborate closely with Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements definition to application architecture
* Independently lead projects and efforts, leveraging your proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate and address challenges
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10 years of Strong technical background in Data Analysis and Data Governance
* Experience with Meta Data, Data Auditing, and Data Profiling is also required
* Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Collibra, or any Data Catalog cloud platform experience
* Experience working with Enterprise Metadata, Data Auditing, Data profiling and Data Analysis
* Ability to anticipate and proactively address challenges, leveraging your technical depth in Data Analysis
* Strong in Writing SQL and noSQL code
* Knowledge of ETL processes, data migration, data conversion, and/or data integration routines and protocols
* Comfortable working with various source system databases or files (various format)
* Prior experience working in cross-functional teams within cloud computing engineering or related technical fields
* Experience in end-to-end product delivery, with a proven track record of driving feature delivery
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
* Experience with Data Governance, data catalog, and have Strong SQL experience
* Experience working with Data Governance projects and maintaining the Data Catalog, SQL and noSQL
Good to have :
* Banking Domain experience
* Product Management experience (Product Onboarding, Success Metrics, OKRs definitions, Customer Centricity)
* Experience with Power BI and Reporting Tools
* Excellent presentation skills
* Stakeholder Management experience
* ETL skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
