Associate Wireless Network Engineer (Hudson Valley, NY Region - Middletown, Newburgh, Beacon, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, NY)

The Role
We are looking for an Associate Wireless Network Engineer to join our New York team and support the delivery of enterprise-class wireless networking solutions. This role is ideal for someone early in their career with foundational networking knowledge, a willingness to learn, and a passion for wireless technologies. You’ll assist in designing, deploying, and supporting wireless networks across diverse environments such as Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, large public venues, and Corporate Offices.

Travel Requirements:

This role will be remotely based in the Hudson Valley, NY region (Middletown, Newburgh, Beacon, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie NY area) with associated travel between 30-40%.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in designing and deploying wireless networks in diverse environments, including Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Large Public Venues, and Corporate Offices.
  • Support wireless assessments and predictive designs using Ekahau AI Pro tools.
  • Work closely with clients to define project success criteria that are aligned with business objectives.
  • Participate in discovery meetings, whiteboarding sessions, and detailed design discussions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to document technical solutions and contribute to project deliverables.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support for wireless networking challenges.
  • Work both independently and within a team, adapting to various project needs.
  • Travel as needed to client sites, both locally and nationwide.

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
  • 1–2 years' experience (including military service) or relevant internship/training in wireless networking or IT infrastructure.
  • Basic understanding of Wi-Fi fundamentals, RF behavior, and wireless security protocols (e.g., WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, EAP methods).
  • Exposure to Ekahau AI Pro or similar wireless planning tools (preferred).
  • Familiarity with common wireless platforms (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, HPE Aruba, Mist).
  • Foundational knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; client-friendly and team-oriented.
  • CWNA certification preferred (or willingness to pursue).
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen
