We deliver a complete range of services, including commercial and industrial construction, clean energy projects, prefabrication, technology solutions, and IPD design-build project delivery. Essential Functions

  • Assist engineering department with ongoing projects.
  • Assist estimating department with ongoing estimating projects.
  • Assist with field coordination drawings utilizing Autocad.
  • Learn Accubid estimating software.
  • Learn Project Management.
  • Understanding and learning electrical engineering and estimating for commercial projects.
  • Supporting the departments with their daily tasks.
  • Participation in the Lunch & Learn internship program provided by the MYR Group Internship Leadership team.
  • Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
  • No experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and give presentations.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
