Corporate Partnerships - Fall Intern

Overall Description:

This internship opportunity is for individuals who have a strong passion for gaining corporate partnership activation and service experience in a high-pace, motorsports and events-oriented environment.This position will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Partnerships team with relationship building, execution and overall management of the team’s corporate partnerships throughout their semester. Interns may work during weekends and potentially travel to either help promote CMS events or help our sister tracks’ events.

The Corporate Partnerships department involves working with clients and sponsors on a national, regional and local level. The department focuses on fully developing integrated marketing partnerships between the client and the speedway. This department seeks 2-3 individuals who are outgoing, creative, highly motivated, can-do individuals and embody our company principles; 1. Care for Your Teammates 2. Be Remarkable 3. Impact Your Community and 4. Continuously Improve.

These individuals will partake in some of our many events which include two NASCAR weekends, one NHRA weekends, World of Outlaws Dirt Racing World Finals, various Music Festivals, our annual AutoFair and Heritage Car Show, Speedway Christmas and many other ancillary events. Reports To: Senior Manager, Client ServicesSpecificDutiesincludebut arenotlimited to:
  • Assist Business Development Executives with sales proposals for existing and potential clients, research of companies and other possible sales opportunities
  • LearnalongsidetheCorporateSalesBDEsonprospecting,pitchingandalongside the Client Services teamin executing thepartnerships
  • Support the Client Services team in activating VIP experiences for clients
  • Createendofevent/partnershiprecapsshowingcurrentandpotentialpartnerstheirROI alongside CS Team
  • Help executenon-traditionalevents/facilityrentalswithfurnitureandequipmentset-ups
  • Be a key part in datamanagementviaour CRM,Salesforce, communicate marketing assets via Basecampandupdate ourinternalBoxdatabase
  • Lead theCMSLinkedInpageviascheduledandorganicsocialposts in partnership with the CMS Social Team
  • Participate in various weekly meetings and take meeting notes/minutes
  • Answeringinboundphonecalls thatcanpotentiallyinvolvesellingorroutingtoappropriatedepartments
  • All other duties as assigned

Internsmustbeabletoworkaminimumof25hoursperweek,plusalleventsheldduringtheirsemester.Theinternship program will run approximately 13 weeks. You will be subject to overtime during event weekends.
