Mikinok is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Project Manager (TPM) to oversee a wide variety of projects from conceptual design through implementation. The TPM plays a critical role in driving successful outcomes, managing diverse stakeholders, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our project management methodologies. This role is for a proven leader who can navigate intricate challenges and contribute significantly to our organizational goals.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead Projects & Programs: Take full ownership of the end-to-end planning, execution, and closure of strategic and complex technical projects, often managing multiple interdependent projects simultaneously.
  • Develop Comprehensive Project Plans: Merge stakeholder requirements with company goals and coordinate various non-technical and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial discovery through implementation.
  • Risk & Crisis Management: Proactively identify, assess, and develop contingency plans for systemic project risks and dependencies. Effectively manage project crises and bring off-track initiatives back to successful completion.
  • Communication & Influence: Articulate complex project information clearly and concisely, influencing decisions and securing necessary buy-in.
  • Stakeholder Management & Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and facilitating conflict resolution.

Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of progressive experience in project management
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering cross-functional projects on time, within budget, and to scope.
  • General understanding of technical components such as APIs, User Interfaces, and User Interface QA.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and experience managing one's own time, balancing many different projects simultaneously, while being flexible, agile, and resilient in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, negotiate solutions, and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • A keen understanding of organizational change management principles.

Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification
  • Scrum Master experience
  • Knowledge of federal lending regulations is a plus (FCRA, TILA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of underwriting is a plus
  • Knowledge of data science, modeling, and machine learning is a plus

Location and Travel
Mikinok is headquartered in Belcourt, North Dakota with a satellite office in Minneapolis, Minnesota, San Diego, California, and Atlanta, Georgia. This position can be located at any office, although travel to all offices will be required. Travel will also be required to attend industry conferences and may also be required for vendor management, both of which may vary at times. Total travel should flex between 0% and 25% per month.
