Job description

The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the pharmaceutical industry and has opening of Chemical Engineering Specialist in Maplewood, MN


Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join a dynamic Process Development Lab team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates in Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering who are eager to gain hands-on experience working with advanced process equipment and contributing to innovative product development.


In this role, you will support experimental process lines, collaborate with R&D teams, and play a key part in developing and optimizing material-based technologies.



Additional Details:

Pay range: $20 to $ 30/hour on W2 as per your experience

Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and operate a process line used for coating or material development experiments.
  • Work closely with engineers and product development teams to execute and improve processes.
  • Conduct laboratory testing, material characterization, and analytical evaluations of samples.
  • Safely operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical and process equipment.
  • Handle chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures and protocols.
  • Accurately document experimental setups, procedures, and results.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues to improve efficiency and outcomes.


Core Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree (or recent graduate) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in working with laboratory or industrial equipment.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety and chemical handling practices.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word for data recording and reporting.


Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Internship or academic project experience in a lab, manufacturing, or R&D environment.
  • Exposure to continuous processing or coating technologies (e.g., roll-to-roll systems).
  • Experience with data analysis or material testing techniques.


Must be authorized to work in the United States.
