The City of Fort Lauderdale is offering an exciting internship opportunity for full-time college students who are seeking hands-on, practical work experience in local government. This unpaid internship is designed to provide students with relevant, practical experience while supporting their academic and career goals.

This position shall remain open until a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Internship Overview: As an intern with the City of Fort Lauderdale, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects and initiatives that positively impact our community, all while developing valuable skills and professional connections. JOB REQUIREMENTS, PREFERENCES & WORK ENVIRONMENT Program Requirements: To be eligible for an unpaid internship with the City of Fort Lauderdale, applicants must meet the following conditions: Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university. College transcripts (official or unofficial) must be attached to the on-line application. Your college must sponsor the internship (providing academic credit or documentation).

All candidates are encouraged to attach a resume to the on-line application. You may participate in the program for a maximum of two (2) semesters. Interns are limited to 24 hours per week.

Must pass a background check prior to beginning the internship. Must sign the required internship agreement form. Interns cannot perform duties normally assigned to regular City employees.
