Job description

This is a Junior Designer - Ads focused role for Fat Earth Media, a creative performance marketing agency focused on brands of purpose, within the Red Antler Group.
We are seeking a talented Junior Graphic Designer, with a focus in addressable media, to design ads for various paid channels with a focus in Meta, to join our team. As a Junior Designer - Ads at Fat Earth, you will support the design and execution of visually appealing and effective ad campaigns for Meta primarily, with intermittent YouTube needs. You'll work alongside senior designers and strategists across a range of clients, from startups to more established brands, learning to navigate digital brand expression for both. This is a great opportunity for a designer early in their career who is eager to grow their motion design skills, sharpen their eye for performance-driven creative, and build a strong foundation in agency work. Agency or in-house experience is a plus, as the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client expectations and deliver quality designs across multiple accounts.
Responsibilities:
Creative Ideation:
  • Create visually compelling and on-brand ad designs for a variety of clients and industries, under the guidance of senior designers and strategists.
  • Collaborate with creative strategists to understand client objectives and help translate them into impactful design concepts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continue developing cutting-edge design skills.
  • Work closely with copywriters to integrate text and visuals seamlessly in ad campaigns.
  • Use motion effectively (in After Effects) to create ads that utilize motion design elements and leverage footage - willingness to learn expressions is a must.
  • Ensure quality assurance by reviewing your own creative deliverables before they are sent through internal review.
  • Take ownership of design tasks with growing autonomy as you build trust and experience on an account.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a graphic designer, whether through agency work, in-house roles, freelance, or a strong internship background.
  • A portfolio showcasing ad design work or relevant motion/graphic design projects.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects and Photoshop specifically).
  • Proficiency in Figma is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow within a supportive creative team.

Compensation:
