Boralex has been providing renewable and affordable energy for over 30 years. The Group, composed of more than 800 employees, operates renewable assets with an installed capacity of over 3 GW and is developing a project portfolio of 6.8 GW in wind, solar, and energy storage.


You will play an important role in:

  • Overseeing a broad range of commercial matters for Boralex's portfolio of operating renewable energy assets in U.S. markets.

  • Originating, structuring, negotiating and implementing power purchase agreements (PPAs) with utilities, corporate buyers, industrial customers and other counterparties.

  • Acting as the commercial point of contact for PPAs throughout their lifecycle, including the execution of contractual obligations and support for dispute resolution.

  • Developing and advancing revenue optimization strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborating across Boralex on financings, repowerings, project development, and buy‑side and sell‑side M&A opportunities.

  • Gathering and analyzing market, competitor, pricing and customer data to inform commercial strategies and decision-making.

  • Monitoring market rules, regulatory developments and market dynamics that may impact renewable asset revenues and risks.

  • Conducting market and commercial analyses to support energy commercialization initiatives and investment decisions.

  • Preparing clear, decision‑oriented presentations and recommendations for senior management.

  • Leading cross‑functional initiatives, aligning stakeholders and driving projects to successful outcomes without direct reporting authority.


To succeed in this position, you need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of directly relevant experience in North American energy markets and commercial functions.

  • Demonstrated experience originating and structuring PPAs for renewable energy assets, including physical, virtual and behind‑the‑meter structures.

  • Hands‑on experience in asset optimization, energy trading, commercial analysis and/or financial modelling.

  • A strong understanding of North American electricity market design, including regulated and deregulated physical markets, ISOs, utilities and related financial markets.

  • Deep knowledge of renewable energy offtake structures and their key value drivers.

  • The ability to understand, interpret and negotiate complex PPAs and commercial agreements.

  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to translate market and contractual complexities into practical business recommendations.

  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, commercial and executive audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams and engage senior stakeholders.

  • The ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines and periods of high workload while remaining effective under pressure.

  • A collaborative mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement and a focus on delivering measurable value to the business.

  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in science, finance, economics or a related field is considered an asset.

  • Experience with, or a strong interest in, using artificial intelligence, data and technology to accelerate analysis and improve decision‑making.
