Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level AutoCAD Designer to join our engineering/design team. The successful candidate will create accurate 2D warehouse storage layouts and rack installation drawings using AutoCAD. This role involves designing material handling and pallet storage systems, including Selective Pallet Rack, Push Back Rack, Drive-In Rack, Pallet Flow Rack, and rack modules, while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and company design practices.
This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals beginning their career in drafting, CAD design, or warehouse storage system design. Seasoned designers are more than welcomed to also inquire.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for warehouse racking systems.
• Design warehouse layouts based on customer floor plans and project requirements.
• Create rack elevations, plan views, sections, and installation drawings.
• Produce accurate layouts for:
o Selective Pallet Rack
o Push Back Rack
o Drive-In Rack
o Pallet Flow Rack
o Rack Modules
• Modify existing drawings based on engineering or customer revisions.
• Ensure drawings meet company drafting standards and project specifications.
• Verify dimensions, rack capacities, aisle widths, clearances, and storage configurations.
• Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and drawing packages for manufacturing and installation.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, project managers, and estimation teams.
• Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions.
• Review customer markups and implement design changes accurately.
• Support quality control by checking drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow warehouse safety guidelines and applicable rack design standards.
