AltaStaff is a staffing agency currently looking for a Regional Care Specialist to work with our Managed Care Client!
We are looking for candidates who reside in St. Joseph County
Pay Rate: $29.00/hour
Schedule: Full time schedule, 8-hour shifts within Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm EST. Some Saturday may be work required.
This position is hybrid, and in field travel is required (mileage reimbursement offered)
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals access vital support services. The Indiana Level of Care Assessment and Referral (IN LCAR) program is a statewide initiative focused on evaluating and determining the appropriate level of care for individuals seeking long-term services and support
Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide intake counseling for individuals participating in Medicaid Waiver and Long-Term Services and Supports programs.
  • Ensure assessments and counseling are completed in accordance with state directives, processes, and regulatory timeframes.
  • Ensure that individuals receive assessments tailored to their needs, facilitates connections to the appropriate resources, and supports efficient transitions between care settings.
  • As part of a collaborative team, play a critical role in improving access to services and promoting quality outcomes for the people of Indiana.
Skills/Experience:
  • Must have unrestricted RN license in the state of IN *or*
    • Bachelor's degree in health, social work, related field *or*
    • Master's degree in any field.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in the human services field.
  • Familiar with behavioral health diagnoses, psychotropic medications, and medical diagnoses.
  • Ability to assess individual needs effectively and provide accurate counseling regarding available support options
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable working with various digital tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external providers.
