Job purpose
The Stock Picker Operator is responsible for moving goods around the warehouse. You will be required to unload deliveries from trucks, stacking and sorting boxes and skids for order picking and storage purposes throughout the warehouse.
** Monday-Friday**(with only an occasional weekend - the exception, not the rule!)

Duties and responsibilities

• Unload and upload materials and merchandise
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Transport product to workstations
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Keep updated records of equipment inspection
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly working environment
Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience as a stock picker operator
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Safety conscious
• Self-motivated and have a positive attitude
• Ability work in a fast-paced, busy environment
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 120 lbs. assisted.
• High school diploma
Working conditions
• This job operates in a warehouse environment.
• The person in this role will be protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• May occasionally be subjected to noise sufficient to cause the worker to hear and speak or shout above the ambient noise level.
Physical requirements
• Must be able to remain in a seated position for long periods of time.
• Constantly moves and positions self to reach products stored at various heights.
• Constantly moving about inside the distribution facility.
• Must be able to ascend and descend to and from the platform of the stock picker
• Must be able to constantly reach, lift, move, carry, and manipulate items weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and 120 lbs. with assistance.
• Constantly operating office and distribution center machinery such as computers, calculator, telephone, scan guns, tape and bubble machines, box cutters, waves, lifts, and reaches.
• Must be able to constantly communicate clearly and effectively with clients, coworkers, and vendors through use of telephone, email, and/or live chat.
• There will be a constant need to read, prepare, analyze, and present data and figures.
• Frequently repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Frequently operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• May be subjected to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving vehicles, moving mechanical parts, and working in high places.
