Job description

Production Supervisor

Location: Youngstown, OH
Schedule: Full-time | Flexible shifts required

Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing and shipping operations. This role is responsible for supervising production teams, resolving issues on the floor, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise daily production, welding, and shipping operations
  • Serve as the first point of contact for production issues
  • Assign work and monitor team performance to meet production goals
  • Manage employee attendance, timekeeping, and staffing levels
  • Train, coach, and develop team members
  • Enforce company policies, including safety and discipline procedures
  • Inspect materials and equipment to ensure quality and functionality
  • Promote a safe work environment and enforce PPE requirements
  • Identify and report safety concerns
  • Participate in team and safety meetings

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (preferred)
  • Experience in steel fabrication, machining, or production environments
  • Knowledge of welding (MIG, 3G preferred)
  • Familiarity with CNC oxy-fuel burning and plasma cutting
  • Understanding of production workflows, job setup, and equipment
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 70 lbs
  • Stand, walk, and move throughout shift
  • Ability to wear required PPE and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Respond quickly to sounds and visual safety cues
