International Sales Manager

1st Shift, 8:00AM – 4:30PM, Monday – Friday

RESPONSIBILITY:

Plan, manage, and expand McGard’s business within the assigned international market. Lead sales activities, support key customer relationships, and identify opportunities for continued business growth. Monitor monthly sales performance and inventory levels to support effective planning and office management. Coordinate various departmental administrative needs and support the operational requirements of the assigned international sales office and its customers. Forecast support for the assigned international market sales team for all OEM customers (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, etc.)


JOB DUTIES:

  • Establish sales goals for the assigned area of responsibility (AOR) and maintain accountability for achieving them. Develop and implement promotions and contests with customers to increase sales.
  • Work directly with the assigned international sales office on sales support activities, including sales calls on OE accounts in the assigned international market.
  • Work with all accounts when in the office or as needed. Submit call reports when traveling and/or calling on OE accounts with assigned international sales office staff.
  • Assist in the development of application guide annually with Engineering, Customer Service, and field fitment checks.
  • Provide technical support to assigned international sales office Customer Service personnel.
  • Travel to OEMs, dealers, or other areas as required to address product questions, obtain vehicle brochures, and evaluate vehicle options. This also includes physical verification of McGard products on vehicles, as needed.
  • Support the Engineering Department and/or customers with various product- and application-related testing as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with established pricing guidelines and structures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production to compute product costs for new part numbers. Communicate this information to Vice Presidents and other stakeholders while maintaining pricing parity across markets when possible.
  • Continuously review product activity within the AOR, with particular attention to field/customer concerns and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Identify potential new products for established markets, as well as new markets for established products.
  • Work with the assigned international sales office to develop new customers, expand sales, and create new part numbers with the Engineering Department. Analyze territory potential and establish goals for the assigned international sales office and aftermarket territories.
  • Regularly review budgets, compensation charges, and sales and financial reports with McGard management and the assigned International Sales Office Manager. Recommend appropriate actions and adjustments as needed.
  • Review assigned international sales office orders and inventory on a monthly basis. Manage HQ Sales Associates responsible for assisting assigned international sales office staff with Production Control.
  • Travel with assigned international sales office staff as required.
  • Assist in the coordination of automotive trade show activities, including show space contracts, electrical needs, labor needs, hotel reservations, badges, booth shipping and assembly, and all necessary display materials and literature.
  • Represent the Company at customer functions, including open houses, manager meetings, training seminars, store openings, and car shows.
  • Analyze market trends and identify changes affecting existing or new products that may increase or decrease volume, and advise Production accordingly.
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive products.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as business needs require.

EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (required).
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and be able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email).
  • One to three (1-3) years’ experience in any type of Customer Service oriented work, in addition to minimum one (1) years’ sales support/sales experience (preferred).
  • Must be able to analyze product and market trends.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license without restrictions.
  • Passport is required for the ability to travel internationally 2-3 times annually. Must be available and able to travel by planes, trains, and automobiles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: Position requires individual to be capable of traveling & working throughout the entire facility, within reasonable accommodation. The noise level is usually moderate.
