Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The International Sales Representative is responsible for supporting and executing all aspects of export sales, from initial order through final delivery into the destination country. This role facilitates export sales coordination, pricing, routing, and documentation, while building and maintaining strong relationships with international customers and agents. This is not a remote position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish competitive sales pricing for beef products and authorize written and verbal purchase agreements with international customers and thirdโ€‘party agents.
  • Collaborate and negotiate with overseas customers and agents to grow export sales, including providing pricing and weekly product availability.
  • Coordinate closely with accounting and logistics teams to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with payment terms, and onโ€‘time delivery.
  • Partner with the domestic sales team to identify optimal sales channels for available export inventory.
  • Work crossโ€‘functionally with sales, logistics, and customers to meet shipping volume and delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure all inventory is shipped accurately and in accordance with customer orders.
  • Participate in U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and other international industry organizations as needed.
  • Maintain dependable attendance, demonstrating consistency and punctuality.
  • International travel is required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the beef industry.
  • Proven experience in international sales.
  • Strong working knowledge of beef and pork products.
  • Solid understanding of FSIS requirements related to exporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • College degree preferred, but not required.
