MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented PROJECT MANAGER to join our team in QUANTICO, VA.
The Project Manager will serve as the contract support team lead for the Wargame Division at the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL). In this role, you will oversee the contract team, serve as the primary on-site lead and conduit between the Government customer and the MANTECH Program Management Office (PMO), and coordinate Wargame Division tasking across your team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the primary on-site lead and direct liaison between the Government customer, key stakeholders, and the MANTECH Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Oversee daily team operations and seamlessly coordinate tasking across the Wargame Division support team.
  • Track project milestones, manage deliverable schedules, and ensure high-quality execution of all contract requirements.
  • Monitor staffing, resource allocation, and operational performance to maintain schedule alignment.
  • Facilitate routine team communication, risk management strategies, and operational status updates for leadership.
  • Support Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL) wargaming execution, planning workshops, and technical documentation efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of progressive experience in project management or team leadership within Department of Defense (DoD) support contracts.
  • Proven experience operating as an on-site team lead and effective conduit between government stakeholders and program management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate workflow, manage tasking, and maintain deliverable timelines across technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of Marine Corps operations, military wargaming concepts, or defense lab research support environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience briefing senior customer leadership

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Prior experience supporting the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL) or Marine Corps Combat Development Command (MCCDC).
  • Experience managing dynamic technical teams within high-tempo military wargaming or exercise planning environment

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have an active and current TS/SCI security clearance.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

The projected compensation range for this position is $97,100.00-$161,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
