Financial Analyst - International

Musco is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our international Accounting team and support the continued growth and increasing complexity of our global business. Reporting to the International Controller, this position will serve as a key business partner supporting financial reporting, revenue recognition, project performance analysis, cash forecasting, and operational initiatives across our international entities in the Western Hemisphere.

This newly created role provides significant exposure to international business operations and offers the opportunity to influence process improvements, leverage data-driven insights, and contribute to strategic initiatives that support long-term business performance. The position is ideal for an individual who enjoys analyzing complex business issues, collaborating across functions, and driving continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work with a variety of individuals at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and business information and develop practical recommendations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems, such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional, and international business environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead revenue recognition analysis across international projects, ensuring accurate application of percentage-of-completion accounting principles while providing insight into project performance, risks, and financial results.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance, identify key drivers of results, and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to support business and financial objectives.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts for international entities, providing insights that support effective cash management, liquidity planning, and business operations.
  • Develop deep expertise in Musco’s international business processes, project accounting methodologies, and financial systems to support effective analysis, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with sales coordinators, accounting, credit, and treasury teams to resolve issues, support project execution, and help projects progress efficiently through their lifecycle.
  • Evaluate current procedures with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Serve as the primary contact with RSM and local business stakeholders regarding Mexico statutory reporting requirements, compliance matters, and related business activities.
  • As knowledge and expertise develop, assume increasing responsibility for global finance and accounting processes, supporting organizational objectives and providing flexibility across the international accounting function.
