Description International Logistics SpecialistPurpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our International Logistics team. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for logistics which includes coordination with steamship lines,customs, USDA, inspection/warehouse locations,our sales teamsand trucking/dray companies.Extensive communication with customersand sales teamsto coordinate shipments and documentation required.Responsibilities:Verify all customer instructions are complete, and all necessary permits/ licenses are in place to meet country requirementsBook steamship line carrier. Logistics coordinator is responsible for determining carrier based on rate, availability, and customer service providedCoordinate deliveries of full and partial truckloads to trans-load facilities. Decisions will be based off of facility costs, port congestion, and steamship line rateConfirms load details in transportation system/s, and then releases orders to the inspection facility, and send freezer prints.File shipment on Automated Export System (AES) for government requirementsMonitor containers throughout inland and ocean voyages.
