Job Description

Provide comprehensive outpatient, urgent care, and emergency services within a collaborative international healthcare environment supporting U.S. government personnel in Iraq. Working alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and operational teams, this role combines direct patient care with interdisciplinary collaboration to support safe, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare delivery.

This role offers the opportunity to practice across a broad clinical scope while supporting continuity of care in a highly collaborative medical setting.

Location: Iraq

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary, urgent, and episodic care across a broad range of clinical presentations, including preventive services, health maintenance, and patient education.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and coordinated patient management.
  • Assess, stabilize, and manage urgent or emergent presentations while coordinating higher levels of care and medical evacuation when needed.
  • Support clinic operations through quality-focused documentation, compliance with clinical protocols, and participation in operational readiness activities.
  • Manage limited chronic care follow-up for established and previously treated conditions within the clinic setting.

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school with Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • Active unrestricted U.S. medical license with current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent physician experience, including active clinical practice within the last year.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements.

Preferred

  • Prior experience supporting military, government, or international healthcare environments.
