Job description

SUMMARY

Seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer (PE) for an international electrical equipment manufacturer specializing in power distribution in Greenville, SC. This opportunity offers involvement in high-voltage, mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects within a stable, growing manufacturing environment. The role provides cross-functional exposure across sales, engineering, and production, along with hands-on involvement in product development, testing, and industry certification processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mix of hands-on engineering + customer-facing work (working with sales, reviewing specs, explaining technical solutions)
  • Involvement in new product design / R&D alongside existing projects
  • No direct reports initially, with potential to move into leadership
  • Opportunity to mentor junior engineers and support team development
  • Exposure to both technical execution and customer interaction (“best of both worlds”)
  • Schedule: Standard hours (8–5 or 7–4), on-site (~40 hrs/week) with occasional travel
  • Location: On-site in Gray Court, SC
  • Relocation: will consider candidates who will have to relocate (sign-on bonus in lieu of relocation available)

REQUIREMENTS

  • PE License (must-have)
  • Experience in high voltage / power systems (transmission & distribution, switchgear, transformers)
  • Strong knowledge of IEEE standards
  • Relevant industry experience (companies like Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, Hitachi, GE, etc.)
  • Ability to review specifications and communicate with customers
