Job description

Our client, an international electrical equipment manufacturer specializing in power distribution, is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer (PE) to join their team in Greenville, SC.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze customer specifications, RFQs, and technical documents for compliance with high-voltage cicuit breakers
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC) and identify deviations or exceptions
  • Recommend product configurations and technical solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Review and markup electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings
  • Support technical discussions during sales and bidding processes
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production to resolve technical issues and ensure project execution
  • Support product development, testing, and certification (incl. third-party labs such as CESI/KEMA)
  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes and documentation

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (PE license)
  • 5+ years of experience in power systems or switchgear industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical transmission, distribution, and substation equipment
  • Experience reviewing technical specifications and identifying compliance issues
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Preferred: experience with vacuum circuit breakers (38kV-145kV), testing/validation, and AutoCAD Electrical
