SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of complex Special Systems projects, including physical security, access control, video surveillance, structured cabling, and related low-voltage infrastructure. This role provides leadership across the full project lifecycle—from contract handoff through design coordination, deployment, commissioning, and closeout.

In addition to managing key projects, the Senior Project Manager owns the scheduling processes, resource coordination, and operational cadence of the Special Systems Project Management Office (PMO). This includes establishing standardized scheduling frameworks, maintaining delivery visibility across all projects, and ensuring field resources, engineering, and subcontractors are aligned to project timelines.

The role requires strong collaboration with sales, engineering, field operations, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of low-voltage and physical security projects, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate site activities with general contractors, district IT and facilities personnel, and subcontractors
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and reporting deliverables
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality, and enforce safety compliance
  • Review construction drawings, one-lines, and specifications for design accuracy and buildability
  • Manage procurement, material tracking, and subcontractor coordination
  • Document project status, change orders, and risk mitigation activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support client communication and stakeholder engagement to maintain transparency and satisfaction
  • Establish and maintain PMO operational standards for project execution and documentation.
  • Drive adoption of standardized project delivery methodologies across the organization.
  • Maintain consistent project reporting including:
  • Project status dashboards
  • Risk and issue tracking
  • Forecasting and backlog reporting
  • Ensure proper documentation including:
  • Project plans
  • Change orders
  • Closeout documentation
  • As-built deliverables
  • Own the Special Systems PMO scheduling framework, ensuring consistency across all projects.
  • Develop and maintain standardized scheduling templates and planning processes.
  • Coordinate scheduling alignment across:
  • Field technicians
  • Engineering resources
  • Subcontractors
  • Customer site availability
  • Maintain master delivery schedules across the Special Systems portfolio to ensure resource optimization.
  • Lead weekly scheduling and delivery coordination meetings with field leadership and operations teams.
  • Identify schedule risks early and implement mitigation strategies to protect project timelines.
  • Ensure projects maintain accurate scheduling data within the project management system.

REQURED EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

•       7+ years of project management experience in:

o  Physical security systems

o  Low-voltage systems

o  Technology infrastructure

•       Proven experience managing large multi-site deployments or complex infrastructure projects

•       Strong experience building and managing project schedules and resource planning

•       Experience managing project financials and margin performance

•       Excellent communication and leadership skills

•       Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

•       Proficiency in project management tools/systems

•       Knowledge of Project Management methodologies including, waterfall, hybrid, and agile

•       Self-starter with ability to build relationships, manage customer satisfaction, and implement internal changes

PREFERRED EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

·       PMP Certification, Agile certifications including CSM, PMI-ACP
