Job description

About the role

As the Associate Product Manager on the Internal Tools team, you will define and build the systems, platforms, and automation that power how our go-to-market team operates, engages with customers, and drives business growth with special attention to the marketing team. Your work will directly impact sales and marketing efficiency, lead generation, and revenue performance across the business.

This role is both strategic and execution-focused: you will own the vision, roadmap, and outcomes of internal marketing tools-spanning communication platforms, automation and operations platforms, reporting platforms, and our marketing website-enabling the marketing team to execute on company-wide strategy at scale.

A major focus will be launching and iterating on tools and automation that help our marketing team capture, manage, and convert leads more effectively-while ensuring the systems they rely on are fast, reliable, and deeply integrated with Podium's broader platform.

What you will be doing:

  • Product Vision and Roadmap: Define and drive the vision and roadmap for internal marketing platforms and automation that elevate team performance, streamline workflows, and enable more effective customer engagement. Own the strategy for communication platforms, automation tools, reporting infrastructure, and the marketing website.
  • AI and Automation Integration: Identify and implement opportunities to apply AI and automation within marketing workflows, reducing manual effort, improving decision-making, and increasing the quality and consistency of customer interactions.
  • Zero to One Product Development and Ownership: Lead the end-to-end development of new internal products, platforms, and systems-from concept through launch. Own the adoption, performance, and measurable impact on key business outcomes such as lead conversion, campaign efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Engineering teams to identify needs, define requirements, and ensure successful rollout and adoption of internal tools. Act as a product evangelist internally, ensuring buy-in across the organization.
  • Customer Insights and Feedback: Engage directly with internal users-primarily the marketing team-to gather feedback and insights that drive product improvements and future innovation.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage product, usage, and business performance data to inform decisions and maximize impact. Continuously analyze product metrics and user behavior to uncover new opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Executive Communication: Communicate effectively with executive leadership, demonstrating strong executive presence and the ability to influence strategic decisions through clear and compelling product insights and recommendations.

What you should have:

  • 1+ years of product management experience with a track record of successfully delivering web-based products, ideally in SaaS, marketing technology, or communication tools.
  • High agency and ownership, with a willingness to tackle problems end-to-end, learning what's necessary along the way to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Enthusiasm for AI, with a solid understanding of AI systems, including autonomous agents and their practical applications in marketing and automation contexts.
  • Proven experience in fast-paced technical environments, adept at working with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide projects through key milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, and continuously optimize for growth and user success.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, AI, and marketing teams to deliver high-impact products.
  • Strong analytical skills, with hands-on experience in SQL and data visualization tools to drive data-informed product decisions and measure success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product strategies, updates, and insights to a wide range of audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Experience leading the development of new products from scratch, with a strong bias toward action and execution in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
  • A passion for helping teams work smarter and enabling businesses to engage with customers more effectively through innovative internal tools.

Why you'll love working here:
