ENTEK Manufacturing LLC is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing team and support manufacturing operations through effective procurement strategies, supplier management, and process optimization. This role is responsible for overseeing purchasing activities across multiple sites, ensuring materials, equipment, tooling, parts, and services are available to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer commitments.

The Purchasing Manager partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Inventory Control, and suppliers to drive operational excellence, improve supplier performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.


What You'll Do

As Purchasing Manager, you will provide leadership and strategic direction for purchasing operations while ensuring efficient procurement processes and strong supplier partnerships.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, supervise, coach, and develop a team of Purchasing Specialists across two sites
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures to create standardized and efficient procurement processes
  • Stabilize, optimize, and maintain purchasing functions within the organization's ERP system
  • Monitor purchasing activities to ensure all material demands are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective purchasing solutions
  • Resolve escalated supplier issues while maintaining productive vendor relationships
  • Anticipate and proactively address potential supply chain disruptions
  • Drive supplier performance related to on-time delivery, quality, service, and cost
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and performance management activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production schedules and business objectives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and best practices

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five (5) or more years of purchasing, procurement, manufacturing support, or supply chain experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency and experience working within ERP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Experience in manufacturing purchasing or industrial procurement
  • Experience supporting multi-site or high-volume manufacturing operations
