THE ROLE

The Automotive Business Manager oversees accounting and financial operations across multiple dealerships - ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and a finance function built for scale. This role partners with dealership and corporate leadership to turn financial data into clear, actionable intelligence that drives performance and supports strategic growth.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

Prepare and review timely financial statements - income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting

Manage day-to-day accounting operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

Implement and maintain internal controls and standardized accounting processes

Leverage financial systems and reporting tools to deliver actionable insights to leadership

Analyze financial data to surface trends, opportunities, and risks

Build dashboards, reporting tools, and automated processes that improve financial visibility

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial processes scale with the business

Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team


WHAT YOU BRING

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

1+ year of experience in accounting, financial management, and operational finance

Strong understanding of GAAP and automotive industry accounting standards

Ability to translate financial data into clear recommendations for business leaders

Experience with accounting systems, reporting platforms, and data tools

Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred

3+ years of accounting experience
