Job overview:

Cowan is seeking a Communications Specialist in Baltimore to create, manage and deliver various communication materials to internal associates. The Communications Specialist will foster Cowan’s culture, brand and business objectives through communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, design and distribute internal newsletters, announcements and orientation content.
  • Manage SharePoint updates, including the timely posting of events, employee milestones, new hires and business results.
  • Deliver content for meetings, townhalls and welcome emails.
  • Produce internal promotional materials, including videos.
  • Oversee the distribution of the employee handbook.
  • Plan and execute employee activities and driver appreciation events.
  • Administer recognition programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership, marketing and sales teams.
Skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of internal communications or similar experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of event management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite and other communications platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
