Position Summary
The Internal Audit Department is looking for motivated individuals to support Internal Auditors in conducting operational, compliance, financial, and investigative audits.
Join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience while completing your degree!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with audit and investigative procedures in accordance with professional standards.
Generate reports and extract data from UNM systems for Internal Audit purposes.
Support the evaluation of audit and investigation findings.
Contribute to drafting audit reports and related deliverables.
Our department conducts a wide range of audits and investigations, offering an excellent opportunity to gain practical, on-the-job experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UNM.
Enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours in a degree-seeking program.
Enrolled at least half-time (minimum of 6 credit hours) during the fall and spring semesters (audit hours do not count).
Preferred Qualifications:
Junior-, senior-, or graduate-level student majoring in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Requirements:
Must sign a confidentiality agreement.
Must attend required training.
Must be able to commit up to 20 hours per week for two semesters.
