About the Role

As VP of Engineering, youโ€™ll lead a national, multidisciplinary team responsible for the full lifecycle of engineering โ€” from concept through construction and operations. Youโ€™ll oversee design standards, implement modern tools and automation, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and on budget.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Lead and scale a high-performing team of electrical, civil, mechanical, and structural engineers
  • Oversee engineering execution across PV and BESS projects from early development through operations
  • Establish technical standards, QA/QC protocols, and design best practices
  • Collaborate with development, construction, procurement, and O&M teams
  • Drive innovation through AI tools, automation, and modern software platforms
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, ASCE, AISC, UL, and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the technical authority on complex engineering and design issues
  • Develop engineering talent for the future
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • 12+ years of progressive engineering experience (5+ in a senior leadership role)
  • Background in utility-scale renewable energy, EPC, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, energy storage, and utility interconnection
  • Proven experience leading geographically diverse engineering teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited); PE licenseExcellent strategic thinking, communication, and team-building skills
