Job Overview

8MSolar is one of the leading solar installation firms in North Carolina. We are seeking to hire an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our team. If you're a passionate self-starter, 8MSolar is a great company for you.

Responsibilities for Commercial Project Manager:

  • Execute commercial projects from the point of sale to installation and commissioning
  • Be the primary point of contact between the client and 8MSolar
  • Manage workflows on parallel projects to ensure all commercial projects are on track
  • Create, update, and transmit project schedules to clients
  • Identify and help order inventory
  • Have experience with commercial solar installation processes, both mechanical and electrical
  • Verify materials and inventory onsite
  • Review commercial construction drawings and specifications, and advise on improvements
  • Supervise 8MSolar teams on site
  • Verify site installation by conducting onsite testing and commissioning
  • Close out projects by addressing punch list items

Qualifications for Commercial Project Manager:

  • Completion of a 4 year technical degree
  • 3 or more years of prior solar experience
  • Valid driver's license in NC
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
  • Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
  • Willing to work overtime
