Job Title: Summer Intern (Civil/ Traffic/ Transportation Engineering)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Contract Role: 2 Months

Onsite Role

Summary:

A strong candidate would be a Junior/Senior Civil Engineering student/Intern (Transportation concentration) with experience in traffic operations, travel time studies, CCTV monitoring, traffic data collection, Excel-based analysis, ITS technologies (side-fire radar) and transportation performance analysis.


Responsibilities


  • Valid driver’s license
  • Safe driving record
  • Access to a car
  • Proficient in English
  • Experience collecting travel times
  • Currently enrolled in one of the Utah partnering Universities
  • Experience coding in excel and google sheets
  • Experience with remote connection to CCTVs
  • Experience with recording CCTVs
  • Experience navigating ARCH
  • Experience pulling data from side-fire radar
  • Experience with traffic data pattern analysis
  • Experience with probe data route analysis
  • Civil Engineering major with knowledge of geometric highway design and traffic signage, sight distance
