Job Title: EHS Intern

Location: San Jose, CA

About the role:

This role will participate, as directed, in Environmental, Health & Safety projects as a member of a consulting project team, design, development, implementation, and delivery of a wide variety of EHS solutions as a technical contributor. In this role you will be supporting various consulting projects. Projects are variable and challenging.

Responsibilities:

  • Health and safety code compliance

  • Developing and delivering EHS/Occupational Health and Safety programs and training

  • EHS assessments/general program compliance audits

  • Regulatory compliance

  • Occupational safety surveys/inspections

  • Environmental issues (air, wastewater, hazardous waste)

  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems program development

  • Industrial hygiene (IAQ, investigations, sampling, monitoring, assessments)

  • Desire and interest to work in construction safety

  • Compiling data and providing input to client reports and programs

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Working towards undergraduate degree preferably in a science or engineering related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide internal customer service at all levels of the business

  • Requires the ability to read and record data quickly and accurately; to prepare records and reports and post data; to avoid perceptual errors in performing computations
