PCDA Social Media, Photography & Videography Intern

Position Title

Social Media, Photography & Videography Intern

Organization: Pre-College Development Academy (PCDA)
Location: On-site (Seasonal/August–May)
Hours: 15–25 hours per week (Flexible around class schedules)
Compensation: Internship (College credit and/or stipend available based on qualifications)

About PCDA

Pre-College Development Academy (PCDA) is one of the nation’s leading transitional soccer academies, helping student-athletes bridge the gap between high school and college soccer. Our athletes train in a professional environment while pursuing college coursework and preparing for collegiate competition.

We are looking for an energetic, creative storyteller who loves sports, social media, photography, and video production to help showcase the daily life of our academy.

Position Summary

The Social Media, Photography & Videography Intern will play a key role in capturing and telling the story of PCDA through engaging content across all digital platforms. This individual will attend trainings, games, events, and campus activities while creating high-quality photos, videos, reels, and graphics that elevate the PCDA brand.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a professional sports marketing portfolio while gaining hands-on experience working within a high-performance soccer environment.

Responsibilities

Social Media

  • Manage daily content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Develop engaging social media calendars
  • Create captions and graphics consistent with the PCDA brand
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages when appropriate
  • Stay current on social media trends and platform updates
  • Assist in growing follower engagement and brand awareness

Photography

  • Photograph practices, matches, training sessions, testing days, events, and community activities
  • Capture athlete portraits and recruiting content
  • Edit and organize images for immediate social media use
  • Maintain a digital photo library for future marketing materials

Videography

  • Film training sessions, matches, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and promotional videos
  • Produce:
    • Instagram Reels
    • TikTok videos
    • YouTube Shorts
    • Highlight videos
    • Promotional features
    • Player spotlights
    • Coach interviews
    • Recruiting content
  • Edit videos using professional editing software

Creative Content

  • Brainstorm new content ideas
  • Help execute marketing campaigns
  • Assist with special events and recruiting showcases
  • Create storytelling content around athlete development, college commitments, and academy life

Desired Skills

  • Passion for sports (soccer knowledge preferred)
  • Strong photography skills
  • Strong videography experience
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop) or equivalent software
  • Experience with Canva
  • Ability to shoot high-quality content using DSLR, mirrorless cameras, or modern smartphones
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends during games and events
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing social media accounts
  • Previous sports photography or videography experience
  • Drone photography experience (a plus)
