Yard Crew Operator

INEOS Pigments - Plant 1 - Maintenance Department

This position supports Plant 1 with general grounds maintenance and general labor throughout the site. This is an hourly, non-exempt, day shift position.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience meeting and maintaining required standards in safety, production, and quality.
  • Work 100% onsite.
  • Complete all regulatory training  

Considered a Plus:

  • Manufacturing experience
  • Forklift qualified
  • Payloader qualified

Essential Duties

  • Complete all computer-based safety training
  • Attend scheduled safety meetings
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety throughout the plant
  • Movement of materials and equipment within the plant
    • Loading, unloading, and delivery of raw materials to areas required
    • Staging materials and equipment for maintenance
    • Empty hoppers all around the plant
    • Empty steel, wire, Inconel
    • Empty garbage cans in maintenance shops
    • Portable diesel pump movements, set up, and removal
    • Deliver and set up ice melt at all doorways in winter
    • Aerosol can disposal
    • Swap out oil drums in mobile shop
    • Move mobile equipment, such as scissor lifts, around the plant as needed
    • Move furniture as needed
    • Stage materials in 800 bldg Kitting area
    • Stage raw materials for Analytical Lab
    • Empty lab samples both for Analytical and TICL labs
    • Load & assist in change out of Pallet saver trailer
    • Empty Garbage cans in all maintenance facilities (800, 875 & ROC)
    • Compactor area cleaning
    • Trash cleanup in all ditches, fence lines & Compactor areas
    • Chlorinator rebuilds: Load/unload scaffolding & charcoal
    • Empty chlorinator ash pits / refractory clean up @ AWD
    • Environmental Hopper management
    • Training center set up/tear down as needed for training events
    • Scissor lift to/from as requested
  • Basic cleaning and maintenance around the plant
    • Sanitary plant filter bed cleaning
    • Snow/ice removal from railroad gates and all switches, derails, tracks, and cylinder pad
    • Wash windows plant wide
    • Clean sandblast booth
    • Back fill gravel as needed
    • Clean company vehicles as needed
    • AWD wash pad clean off-gas brick debris as needed
